Pu-Ehr Brick (2006)

Pu-Ehr Brick (2006)

This fine Pu-Ehr is from Yunnan's prized Xishuanbanna region - the home of the very first tea plants and the world's cradle of tea. The 'wet piling' method used to produce Pu-Ehr is what gives this tea its musty earthy characteristic. The flavours are reminiscent of the subtle sweetness of raw sugar beets with a slight smoky and earthy note. The compressed brick form is a romantic form of packaging dating back to the arduous travels on the Silk Road - but is also a very economical way to purchase these fine teas. - 250gr brick.
Tip: Break off a piece of the tea brick - rinse with boiling water before use. Bring fresh water to a boil and steep tea for 2 minutes for first infusions and longer for subsequent infusions.
